Through economies of scale, the GVHBA leverages their membership to provide a benefit plan with longer renewal cycles and lower administration costs. These savings are passed directly onto you, our members.
The GVHBA employee benefits plan provides premium savings and duplicates your current benefit plan design.
The GVHBA plan will guarantee the insured premium rates for a minimum 18 months from the benefit plan inception date. Subsequent renewals will be based on an 18 month schedule (traditional plans renew on a 12 month basis).
Renewal methodology and process for the GVHBA benefits plan is transparent. This means you are aware of what the rate adjustments will be based on your utiliation.
The Clear Focus Vision plan is provided by Clearly.ca, Canada's largest online retailer of glasses and contact lenses. Employees can stretch the value of their existing vision program, or provides valuable savings to employees without a vision program.
Green Shield has a mobile app for plan members. Employees can submit claims through the app, check coverage information, access their ID card, etc. The app is called "GSC on the Go" and is available for Apple and Android.
Through Benefits By Design, the GVHBA plan includes a special partnership arrangement with Costco Pharmacy to provide discounts on prescription drug costs. Employees will see a discount per prescription when medications are filled at a Costco pharmacy.
Through Green Shield Canada, GVHBA plan members have access to an industry-leading incentive-based health management program called Change4Life. This health portal provides employees access to a variety of tools and resources to help learn more about their health, lead healthier lives, managing existing health conditions and get rewarded for it!
